Flight Instructor Course (FIC)

It is assumed that it is in a customer’s interest to train instructor pilots (IP) and use his own IPs in the Hawk training system for several reasons. The most important of these is the possibility to monitor the progress of students and exercise a direct influence over the ongoing training.

Flight Instructor Training will be based on the student pilot training concept and it will have a full support by the Finnish Air Force.

Instructor pilots are expected to have fighter experience or previous IP experience, but exceptions can be approved on a case-by-case bases when the exact content of FIC training is dependable on the previous experience of the pilots attending the course.

After the Flight Instructor Course and adequate flight training instructors can fly as instructors in the Advanced Training in the NPTC together with FiAF instructors. After reaching a predetermined tactical and instructor training experience they will be rated as Tactical Instructor Pilots.
